Recurring flooding due to inefficient drainage during heavy rainstorms was a continuous problem for the owner of an office building in in the Ratchadahpisek / Latprao. The area is above sea level but due to the lack of drainage and drainage maintenance in the area, the Ratchadaphisek road is regularly flooded after rainstorms which results in regular flooding events 

The owner of the office building wanted to reduce the risk of damage to his property and especially his elevator and was looking for an efficient flood protection solution to block the front entrance to the elevator lobby during the regular flooding.
